What is indi.cafe?

indi.cafe is a free tool that helps you find the nearest independent coffee shops to your location. We believe the best coffee experiences come from local, independent cafes — not national chains — and we built this site to make it easier to discover them.

How it works

Enter your postcode, town, or share your current location, and indi.cafe searches for independent coffee shops nearby using the Google Places API. Results are filtered to exclude national and international chains, so you only see genuinely local cafes.

We show you distance, estimated travel time, opening hours, ratings, and other useful details — everything you need to find your next favourite spot.

Our mission

We think coffee tastes better when you know it's supporting someone in your neighbourhood rather than a shareholder on the other side of the world. Our mission is to make choosing independent over chain as easy as a quick search, wherever you happen to be.
